Happy Monday ya'll....

So...it's been a really crappy month for me...but May is a new beginning..and a new month right?? It cannot possibly be worse than April that's for sure!! And my third has come...Shawn was told that he needs to start looking for work...and there is NOTHING going on in the valley as far as building and I'm a bit freaked out. But heck...that was last month and I'm going to try to stay optimistic for May. :) I'll let you know how it works for me...
Friday night...Auston totall cracked me up.
Auston: Mom...I'm not making you a jewelry dish for Mother's Day.
Me: You aren't?
Auston: nope...I'm not.
Me: Well if you aren't making me a jewelry dish then what are you making for me?
Auston: I can't tell you...Mrs. Arneson made us promise we wouldn't tell you.

So yeah...looks like he's making me a jewelry dish for Mother's day!! :) I will definately have to record that conversation for him to reread some day. It was just so funny as he was SO serious and intent on NOT telling me. :)
I created this layout for Random Chaos (see link on sidebar as I'm too lazy to put it in here) for this weeks challenge: to create a baby layout using non traditional colors ie: no baby blue and baby pink. My biggest challenge was finding a BABY!! I dug and found this photo of my little brother (who happens to be graduating from high school on the 18th! Woohoo!). The picture totally makes me laugh...he was the CUTEST thing ever!! Although I didn't appreciate him then I certainly do now.
And I never did share my layout that I lifted from the oh so talented Lea Lawson (who's link is also on the sidebar). It's pretty much an exact replica. She's SO not my style but I have always loved her clean style. I just had to try it and am really pleased with the results. :)

And a couple more layouts from the May Sweet Pea Scraps kit. This kit is awesome. I really thought that I would struggle with it...but ended up with 7 layouts...so not too bad!! And I'm thinking I'll use the leftovers to create the paperbag album I'm doing for Teacher's Appreciation week!

Finally...Tracy's service was REALLY nice. Standing room only. So many people were there to honor her memory. She touched so many people and was such an amazing woman. She was loved by all. From what I've heard...Stacy Julian and Lisa Bearnson will be in Missoula for an event in which ALL proceeds will go to Tracy's boys. Now those of you in the scrapbook world can see what an amazing person Tracy was to know if those two have stepped forward and are wanting to do this for her and her family. If you aren't already on the mailing list and want more information on this event go to http://www.thescrapbookhideaway.com/ and I'm sure they will be sending out the information as the event is scheduled.
